LATEST PAYOUT FOR UK ENDOWMENTS STILL GOOD Print E-mail
Generally, payouts from with-profits policies have reduced in recent years as high investment returns enjoyed in the 1970s and 1980s have been replaced by lower returns in the late 1990s and 2000s."Royal London spokesman Alasdair Buchanan said: "We believe we continue to provide good value returns to with-profits policyholders. For example, the maturity payment for the benchmark 25-year term endowment this year reflects an annual growth of 8.9 per cent compound over the 25 years. This compares well with the 6.9 per cent average return achieved by balanced managed funds over the same period."
